Fern Scarf

£2.50

A hand knitting scarf pattern

You can knit this scarf in any DK weight yarn. You will need 200g (448m). You will also need a pair of 4mm needles.

I have used West Yorkshire Spinners Bluefaced Leicester DK Prints because I love the feel of the yarn and the effect produced by the print on the yarn combined with the wavy nature of the stitch. The beauty of this pattern is it is so much easier to knit than it looks!! The lacey fern stitch is knitted over a 4 row pattern repeat and the wrong side rows are just purl stitch (with a garter stitch edge), so in effect you only have to learn 2 different pattern rows. The results from this simple to do stitch, however, will be very impressive – perfect. A bit more information here on my blog.

This is a great addition to your wardrobe, useful on cooler spring/autumn days and especially in winter.

Look good and feel cosy.
